Flooded in Lakewood

It’s every homeowners worst nightmare. This client’s Lakewood condo flooded when the upstairs neighbor’s bathtub failed. She spent months coordinating mitigation services, managing insurance claims, and selecting new materials. When we got the green light, we wanted to get this done as quickly as possible for her. We started by bringing in our drywall team, then we painted the new wall Agreeable Gray by Sherwin Williams—it’s our favorite neutral. We replaced the damaged flooring with waterproof luxury vinyl plank, installed new millwork and doors, and replaced the toilets and vanities in the bathrooms. For a final touch, we gave the ceilings a fresh coat of bright white paint—what a difference!

Side story…

Replacing the vanity in this condo turned out to be a real challenge. The first one arrived broken, the second one wouldn’t fit with the current plumbing, the third one…turned into a Christmas miracle. Kelly had to move the drain pipe to make it fit. When he was done, there was a ring sitting on the bottom of the vanity. He didn’t think much of it, put it in his pocket and finished his day. That night, he sent a picture to the client to see if she recognized it. Turns out, it’s her grandmother’s wedding ring that had gone missing YEARS ago! Bonus: She had just gotten engaged two weeks before. With all the vibration from cutting the pipe, we couldn’t believe that it didn’t fall further into the plumbing. It’s truly a miracle that this family heirloom is now back where it belongs!
